She comes from the north-west of Scotland and the Hebrides, where she has developed for centuries through natural selection, the properties attributed to her - the small stature and relative ease of Highland beef is considered to be good natured, robust and durable, it is suitable for the full-year free-range farming for heavy cattle unsuitable soils (cow), calves easily and without much human help.
